Recommend a meat slicer

I'm missing a meat slicer among all the meat processing equipment I have bought. Now I'm looking to buy a meat slicer. I don't need to buy the cheapest on the market but I'm not buying a new Hobart.

Recommendations?

I bought one for $38 a few weeks ago on clearance at Gander. It bogs down a little and it’s small but I like it. I can see upgrading in the future though.

Hit up LanceR. I seem to remember he refurbs commercial slicers and sells them.

I recall he refurbs Hobarts. I don't have a dedicated space in my kitchen for a slicer. I would be carrying it from a storage room to the kitchen. The Hobart is twice the weight of the slicer I am looking at.

I have a $100 special from Amazon. I think it’s a 7”. I’ve found it less than useful for most of the tasks I envisioned for it when prepping RAW meat.

Plus side, it’s by far the best thing I’ve found to slice potatoes real thin and uniform for homemade chips.

If you make corned deer or pastrami, it’d be handy for that.
