Rec Flounder Limit Headed to ONE

Has anybody heard about this? I was on another site today that was saying that they were gonna reduce the limit for recreational folks down to one fish per person, there will be a spring and a fall season but yes...one stinking flat fish. I also read that this is not in acted yet, but that six commission board members had to vote against it for it not to pass, and that that is gonna be near impossible. If this does go through it will be the end of recreational flounder gigging in the state of NC.5D1F5CC5-AF2A-451C-B2DE-BA7FE5B80E4D.jpeg

That's interesting.
More days to harvest them but smaller limits?
Which would most folks rather have? I got the impression this year that it wasnt popular to have no spring season.

With a limit of 1, you'd have to have 5 or 6 people in a boat to make it worth putting in the water.
So, what is the proposed limits on commercial catch?.....crickets.

4b says three flounder a day. Would be reduced by one fish from four to three?

Biology question. Aren't most of the larger flounder, females? Would a slot limit help at all?
