Anyone know how to remove it from plastic or gun metal without stripping the original finish off??? And no I didn’t paint it lol

I took paint off a blued barrel with carb cleaner sprayed onto a rag. Wiped it down with gun oil several times when was done.

Acetone wipe it right off metal but don't let it near plastic.

I've read that Citri Strip works on both. Never tried it myself though.

I have used acetone on the metal parts and it did not harm the blueing. like someone said keep it off of plastic. I used to sell citristrip and it is good stuff but I have no useful info on it for plastic.
