Nope, because regardless of what I say you already have you mind made up.. but I will tell you, and I went through this exercise earlier today for the US Air Force.. that out of well over 100 different parts on two different computers, a number less that 5 has a country of origin being China, so you assertion that they make all this stuff is BS and akin to the Orange Man Bad crowd with Trump. (BTW, that is a computer made by a company that started in, and still has a global headquarters in China)

China has had, and still does have bad actors, some of them are govt. backed others are not. My intent is not to defend them in any way. But the perception that all electronics are made in China is, at present and I expect always has been to a large degree, fictitious. (unless of course you are one that considers all locations in the far east to be China) I have spent 20+ years in the computer industry and I can tell you from direct experience, that Mfg has been moving out of China for lower cost regions and locations for years. China's middle class is growing quickly and they are shifting from a mfg based society to one more consumer based and that transformation is accelerating.

You took my post so literally. Everyone knows tons of electronics are made outside of China. However, I was planning to listen to your expertise. My mind is not made up. I learn something every day.

Well....server farms are usually multistory, multibuilding affairs. And there are many different companies being served from those buildings. So, nuking the server farm will not just take out Darkside's servers (which they probably have hundreds of around the world) it would take out hundreds or thousands of legit businesses and their data.

If it's Dominion or Smartmatic, I say have at it. 🤣

Everything that happens in Russia you can believe the Kremlin is behind. I find it difficult to believe that these groups can operate out of Russia without having to pay the ultimate mob boss something.

That's the way it is all over the world.
In the US, they just say it's wrong, and that it doesn't happen here. The lie detector has determined that is a lie.
It's only prosecuted here when MSM reports on it and enough people actually care or believe it. Or, when the offender has not been affiliated with the current politics of the day.

I wish I could agree with your everyone statement.. most don't and very few understand the % of where it is made. As Woodmoose pointed out.. most Americans equate the entire far east with China.

As I said I work for a China Legacy computer MFG.. what most don't understand is that the majority of these companies are publicly traded corporations just like any other. All industry in China is no longer govt. controlled. There are issues and shadow companies do exist.. in most cases they are trying to sneak tech into hardware vs computer companies building it in under some direction and even a smaller amount is actually hardware.. most of the issues are software based. The bad actors take advantage of vulnerabilities in software to tunnel in.. you can thank Microsoft for much of that.

At the moment we are in the middle of the WORST supply shortage of my career. If the conspiracy theories held true, my company would have a distinct advantage in this environment.. and given that we are quoting 90 business day lead times on business computers at this point, I can assure you we don't. If China had that kind of power and control this would be the time to strike and the rest of the world would be crippled for several years. They are acting just like ever other major global government in that they have people working behind the scenes to gain competitive advantage, some legal many not.. just like the US, Russia, GB, India and others are doing every day. Propaganda is not exclusive to China or the Communists / Socialists.

There are Americans that will argue with you that Asians are not white... Ask them if Russia rings a bell and they will tell you Russia is it’s own continent.

Stopped reading here.. I am in this business.. and this statement proves you don't know or understand the computer / microprocessor / IC supply chain at all.

Are you suggesting that China does NOT install "spyware" onto planar boards, processors etc?

Are you suggesting China is not THEE (not one of but THEE) largest technology thieves in our technological era?

China steals and spies beyond the rest of us, period. To deny that in this day and age, is akin to denying gravity.

In and around Raleigh today, I saw 3 different gas stations with lines, all three of them the idiot drivers (not blaming them, first to the pump first to pump when he gets home) the incoming cars were BLOCKING the tanker trucks from getting out. Literally. Talk about selfishness.......welcome to the USA 2021.

Publicly traded or not, if you operate in China, it is at the douceur of the Chinese Govt.

china is a huge country, with 1/4 of the world's population,,, but they suck and, at the end of the day (figuratively) are the enemy of the USA

Has any of these idiots ever thought of how they are going to get the gas from their "container" into the tank? Except for the last one, she's not even smart enough to get a container sides.

Would I do this? Umm....hell yea I would. ;)
And yea, I know sugar wouldn't do much other than clog the filter and water wouldn't do much except make the car run rough and stall.

About 7 or 8 years ago, someone kept stealing gas tanks out of boats at one of the docks here. They put something in a tank. A few nights later, a fella had car trouble about 100 yards from the dock. I don’t know exactly what was in it but he must of been dang near on empty for it to have worked as quick as it did.

I just heard a guy say a moment ago the pipeline had been hacked again and hadn’t hit the news. Take it for what it’s worth

Guess they should've paid the full amount.

But if it's true, it's going to leave Shaggybro Joe in a world of sheot.
