That is a nice ride. Friend of mine had that similar model K5 in great condition like that and I rode shotgun in it to witness how well they handle off road driving over the course of two years. Went through two new sets of offroad tires in that thing over that time until the truck was completely destroyed down in Uwharrie and the local quarry. That shorter wheel base would help it crawl over some sketchy stuff. After it was totaled and sitting in the back yard he even tried to finish off the engine by holding the accelerator pedal to the floor for minutes until the engine started cutting out. We thought it was finished until the next day we realized the vibrations caused a couple of plug wires to rattle off, engine survived just fine.

And now those things are worth big money.

I remember when square body trucks were basically give away because the government had scared everyone into thinking they would burst into flames....

while traveling 2 weeks ago we stopped at a steak n shake for lunch. upon entering, none of the employees welcomed us let alone gave any notice to us. we placed and paid for our order at the kiosk. while paying, it asked if we would like to leave a tip. ??? after seating ourselves, they called my name and i went and brought our food to the table. then when we were finished, i cleaned the table. before leaving i shouted out, "pretty damn rude of you all to ask for a tip when you didn't do :donk:donk:donk:donk!"

this tipping :donk:donk:donk:donk:donk:donk:donk:donk is getting waaay out of order.

We have a creek and a small pond around us, so we see these as well as snapping turtles periodically.
Our shepherd runs up to them to get a whiff, but I have to stop her until I figure out what species it is first! 😳

If dogs can smell so damn good why must they literally stick their nose to something to smell it?

I believe my 77 Scottsdale may have the side saddle tank that got the side impact warning. Nothing that really concerned me being I spent many years as a kid riding in my parent's pinto.

Head down Robinhood Rd between Silas Creek and Shattalon in Winston sometime. That dude who made it from N Korea to S Korea last week dodged less land mines than the manhole covers on that route.
Between Robinhood and 421 is terrible too. I don't understand why every one is lined up where your tire is going to hit.

My pocket knife or belt knife cuts sandwiches and meat in the restaurants often. But no matter how clean I try to convince my wife it is she will not let me cut on her food. She just knows what all it cuts on every day and in her mind you can't clean that off.

"Wait a minute? Don't you skin squirrels with that knife?"

And that was the end of me cutting up the Grandkids food....

I have to give her some credit, she has came a long way from starting out a city chick. Knowing some of the things I do and eat I'm amazed she still allows me to touch her and kiss her on the lips occasionally. The new hasn't worn off that tundra yet though. I go through a visual inspection and sometimes have to bathe before I'm allowed in it or get behind the wheel.
