Was flying home yesterday mid day, seems flight was overbooked so they were looking for volunteers, figured what the heck and got $700 to take a flight 3 hours later. They were then asking for volunteers for the 530 flight offering $600, plus hotel and meal voucher with the flight at 7am today. Figured I would sign up for that as well, but they didn't need my seat.

Good productive Saturday morning, got the last three deer skulls cleaned up and drying, will whiten later this week. Turkey fan from last season I just took in, pinned down to set. Changed the overdue oil in the truck and put a new battery in the mower to prepare for this spring. In the house at 11:58, let’s take some ribeyes out for supper tonight!

Seger was the first concert I went to after being old enough to have drivers license. Had to use a map to find my way to the old Charlotte Coliseum. Somehow my parents knew his brother that lived near High Rock lake and got the tickets from him complete with back stage passes. But I never got to meet Bob being he over did it during the performance and left the place in an ambulance. Hearing Fire Lake come on the radio over the years was almost like a summertime anthem, instantly change the mood.

My wife feeds the dogs their supper every day at 5pm so they don't mind eating early. It's the time change in the fall that has them looking around like they have been forgotten.

Holy smokes there was a stabbing at the Lowe’s grocery store on Friday in Mebane. This is a nice store, not in the hood. Victim was airlifted and suspect was arrested. Not usually thinking about stuff inside the store at 12pm happening - you’re thinking parking lot at night or something.

Reckon somebody 's food stamp card got cut off and they didn't know about it?
Are they had Boston butts on sale and somebody's tried to get four instead of the two that they were supposed to be allowed?

This particular Lowes serves alcohol, I.e., has a bar right beside the produce section. My understanding is this occurred in the bier garden….

Why is it called a bier garden? 😀

?? Wouldn't that be pronounced like "their"?
So it's a "bare" garden? That could explain a few things.
I'll not be using that terminology, I'll ask for a beer when I mosey up to the bar. 😀

I don't know... if you need to drink while shopping... you might be an alcoholic and that's not a good thing.

I'm thinking just go to the beer cooler and crack open a 12 pack. Never thought about needing a designated driver to get my groceries before.

Was waiting to check out with a few items at Sam's Club Saturday, a little after noon. A couple of teenage boys started throwing fists and wallowing on the floor. Bystanders got them separated pretty quick and I carried on with my checkout. As I was headed toward the exit, the Mom of one of the boys was cussing and acting an arse cause someone put their hands on her boy and one of the boys was still jawing. I did not stick around to see all that played out.
