Yesterday gas here was $2.54. Monday it was $2.99. Saturday it was $2.69. Not sure what is up with the wild swings but happy with $2.54 the most…….

witnessed two middle aged Karens get into a pissing match at the hockey game last night.

during peak raised voice, head bobbing, finger pointing, both wimmin reached into their bags and......

pulled out their phones so they could video each other.....

If not for my cheese filled pretzel, it would have been really disappointing.....

I tried a new weight loss program this week. It was highly effective, but I don't recommend it--Flu.
My wife and youngest daughter are on that diet right now. I spend the 1st 30 minutes each day when I get home from work spraying disinfectant and wiping door handles and light switches followed my a quick bath in hand sanitizer.

On my way to NYC to visit the bf and spend Shabbat with new friends. Second trip to NYC. Will try to take some pictures for y'all. 😊
Not many pictures, but my bf and I both like sea shanties/chanteys (old songs sailors used to sing in the 1700s, 1800s, etc), so we went to the South Street Seaport Museum's Sea Chanteys and Maritime Music Sunday (held monthly). It was awesome! People of all ages sang and the audience would sing the refrains along with them. Learned a little of the history of the sea shanties, too. Definitely want to go again!

Also got a free book from the bf he was about to donate to a book store about different kinds of spirits (single malt scotch, rye whiskey, Tennessee whiskey, scotch, bourbon, gin, vodka, etc). It's super interesting. 😊

Waiting for my flight down to Florida to visit family and keep Shabbat there. Bringing along a bottle of kosher wine (wrapped good in my checked bag), my challah cover, and an old havdalah candle and kiddush cup of mine I found while going through boxes of old stuff. The kiddush cup is a small goblet you use when you sanctify the Shabbat or holiday meals when you make the blessing over wine. The havdalah candle is a braided candle used for a ritual we do to conclude Shabbat on Saturday night or a holiday.

Will send pictures. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Why is it that patients NEVER want to eat/drink until AFTER the get to the emergency department.....especially these flu patients. Like, why didn't you come up with the novel idea of drinking fluids 4 days ago?
I pushed Gatorade on my daughter the whole time she had the flu. I don't know how much she actually drank but every time I went by her room and she was awake as told her to drink. Having to do the same thing to my wife now. It will be a miracle if I don't catch it but hopefully I get through the weekend. Gotta put brake calipers on my truck and a oil pressure sensor on my son's and I am planning on squeezing in a round of golf.

been doing the same thing with my wife and son for 3-4 days. The flu is not a short lived thing this year.

Just my luck. Pressed my old Oliver’s water pump apart on the off chance I could find seals that would work. Called the authority on Oliver parts, he said well depends on the casting number you might be lucky.

I rattled off the number and lo and behold, I ain’t lucky. Imagine that…I couldn’t possibly have the $100 pump that I can get parts for I’ve got the $350 pump that there’s no parts for🙄🙄🙄

Dammit I havent ate or drink all day ......and dammit I'm diabetic (while bg is 250)

I have come to the realization after 10 years I blatantly don't give a :donk:donk:donk:donk anymore. I'll give them whatever they want as long as they have low probability of needing surgery

I woke this morning and made a casual off the cuff comment about being stiff and sore from splitting wood with a maul. As my wife was leaving for another shopping trip I mentioned that I may be getting to the age of needing a log splitter which would be about 2% of the inheritance money she got from the estate settlement. She seemed to think this wasn't a good idea. Anything and everything has become an option at this point about me even being in a marriage and what the future looks like from a distance. I am no beast of burden without some commitment to reality

I enjoy splitting wood by hand, but for bulk production, I use the splitter to break up the rounds for initial stacking to dry, usually halves, thirds or quarters, then eventually split by hand anything that is too big for the stove.

If heating with wood is a main source of the household comfort, tell the wife she needs to help split the wood.....

Ultimately, the time savings in using the splitter makes you available for other tasks. That's a "no brainer" given how busy you appear to be.

Added: I get up sore after a healthy splitting session. Its mentally good, but I also know it's a reality check as well. Lot of hours on this wood splitter....

Yeah….I don’t split wood by hand. That’s for young men with strong backs and full of pride. Anyone who burns it to actually heat ought to have a splitter.

I’d definitely have a splitter before a camper. You have to get all that wood split so you can go off and enjoy yourself.🙂
