My and her friend wanted to eat at Panera Bread. Upon entering, I spotted a young man wearing a purple face mask. Obviously he didn't get the memo. Across from him was a man in his 50s with pink hair and on his laptop. In front of me was man wearing a camo Harris/Walz ball cap. I guess this us typical of Panera Bread.

I swore off Panera years ago after about the third time I went there. Never trust a restaurant that can't make sweet tea.

My assessment was they are going to overcharge you for hard, crusty bread, and make you wait in line in a crowded restaurant full of the types you mentioned above^. No thanks. My wife gets irritated that I refuse to eat there, but I'm going on about 10 years now.

First mistake was the desire to even walk into a Panera bread facility..
Just exactly what did you expect?

There's a gun I want that a guy on another site is selling.

In mid september, he said I was 2nd in line.

I said let me know.

Radio silence so I figure it was gone.

He bumps the ad last Sunday. Says if anyone was in correspondence before to reach out.

So I reached out Sunday evening.

He's been on a few times since then, but radio silence.

I thought I was 2nd in line before.

This one is a no brainer. We meet, I give you the asking price, you give me the goods. And I have all the credentials......

What is it with folks?

And if you are the seller, and are seeing this, C"MON MAN!

When you go help someone put something together and they’ve already started before you get there when you get to the last step of instructions and have a lot of leftovers they skipped a step no matter what they say. Trust me I know from experience

Interesting sight over Wilkes County a little before 0600. A line of "stars" moving NW to E spaced evenly apart, fast, and no sound. Not sure I saw the beginning as they were not close together but stopped counting at 10. Just guessing around 30 total that I saw. Assuming military but who knows.

Stopped this am at the gas station, saw couple guys coming out with a 12 pack of Bud Light. Mostly rain here today - guess their boss called it and they’re gonna just drink the time away.

That stuff is still always on sale…..

I would drink Bud light if it was free but even before the downfall it was not my first choice. Red and white Budweiser was the drink before I switched to light beer. Lite by Miller is my preferred unless I'm feeling beat down by the monthly bills. Then I settle for the beast light in the 15 pack. A twelve or fifteen pack of beer may sit in the fridge for weeks before I get them all gone. I have become more of a liquor drinker the last decade. Less filling and I can keep drinking my bottled water habit of 7-9 bottles a day

Good morning at the gun club with @NCbowjunkie. We got there early before the wind picked up, got some chrono readings & verified zeros. By the time we were packing up, the wind was moving at a good clip. I had fun closing the gate 1/2s, they were acting like sails in the wind.

For those of us who are getting long in the tooth and grumble about the effects of aging, nothing hits home more than the realization that our kids are now considered "seniors".

With that in mind I have difficulty dealing with the fact that today my dear daughter turns 61. Happy Birthday Kelly; you've given me more reason to be joyful and thankful that you're my daughter than you could ever imagine! Love from your Da!

My random thought for the day...
Why is it that ANYTHING that comes in a tube, ex: toothpaste ALWAYS has a big air bubble in the middle of the product? Get a new tube of toothpaste out and about halfway through you're tricked into thinking "man, this tube is lasting a while" then the very next day, all of a sudden it's "phooooof" and you "lose" half of what you thought you had!
Erry..... single.... time!

I was talking to someone at work when a guy from his team sat down with us. We were talking about land. Then the conversation turned to hunting when the guy that sat down ask if I had land which I did and he proceeded to ask if he could hunt it. Then pay a fee... then how he has land to hunt up north but not down here... I told him he better use some vacation time and go there or jump on public. Long story short but nearly a dozen variations of how he respected my "no" but if I ever change my mind...

I finally told him my mind doesn't change besides you're at the end of a very long line of people that asked first. All I could think was if you respected my "no" you wouldn't keep asking.
