put 92 lbs of hog on the cooker at 1:15AM,,,,, got a member meeting of the Sandhills Pointing Breeds Club (pointing dog training and testing club) to celebrate the purchase of our club land so that we have it in perpetuity (or that's the plan anyhow),,,,,,,,,

Reminder to check your filters at the store. Wife brought home the correct box that contained a cheaper filter, likely some lowlife swapped it. Glad I checked before draining the oil. She claims she didn't know that you're suppose to check to confirm parts are correct... I only remind her every time she gets parts for me and this time I didn't. 🙄 I decide the point wasn't worth reminding. I go to install the new marker lights (2 pack) I had her pick up as well, the right side is good...

I'm afraid to do anything else now...

The only way I will have my wife pick up anything for me outside of groceries is if I can call ahead or have pictures text to her phone. I literally can't count on her getting a package of socks for me and they fit

I preorder parts or I send her direct links. It wasn't fully her fault today but could have been averted had she use her training to verify. The package was correct it's just the lowlife shoplifters that swap things.

The bulbs were manufacturer packaging error.

There used to be two different farms around here that kept them and we could hear them hollering every evening. One day a cock showed up here in the yard and first thing it did was jump up on the windowsill and look in the house

Made it to the place I'm spending the night at 8:30 pm, thank God. Long drive, though not as long as it could have been (4.5 hours instead of 6.5 hours). Back to work tomorrow and a cleaning the camper day.

The Jewish holidays are just around the corner, starting in early October with Rosh haShannah (the Jewish New Year). Will be going to the Orthodox Jewish community in Tidewater to celebrate them with the community there. Looking forward to it.

Planning to go purchase the 4WD truck in November after the Jewish holidays are over. Hoping things will be better by then and I can get to the place it's at. Should also be able to arrange something with Carvana or somebody so I can sell my car and finally be rid of it and start driving a truck, which fits my outdoor lifestyle. Looking forward to squirrel and trapping season.

I bet you a visit to a car dealer here in Rutherford county would get you treated like royalty. Looking at the lots, they are not selling doodly squat!

I'm on my way to Tidewater to celebrate Rosh haShannah (the Jewish New Year; we will be going from 5784 to 5785) and Shabbat with the Orthodox Jewish community I go to there. The holiday starts at sunset this evening and goes through the next two days (Thursday and Friday). Then it will be Shabbat.

So I will have my phone off and won't be looking at a screen for 3 days straight. Very much looking forward to that and spending my time instead praying the beautiful and reflective prayers, going to holiday meals, going for walks, reading, and seeing friends. It's kind of like being at a NCHuntandFish get together campfire because it helps you decompress and relax with friends.

I'm looking forward to some campfires, hunting and trapping adventures, and trips to see family in the coming year. May it be a sweet New Year full of blessings, joys, and new beginnings! Happy (Jewish) New Year!

Made it safely to my hosts in Tidewater. Got to stop by and see my parents briefly, which was great! See y'all on the other side in 3 days! Will be keeping the people of Israel and the people in western North Carolina in my prayers!
