I was inspired by Mack in NC's video on trout fishing Radio Island a while back, so I decided to make a trip there myself, never having been. My first trip back in November was on a Sunday afternoon and I only had a short stay before it began to get dark. I did manage one short trout
My second foray was Wednesday. I had off due to President Bush's funeral. Unfortunately, fishing was slow for everyone. I had a nice bite on my first cast, which let go, but nothing after that. It was a beautiful, crisp, cold morning, though and a lot better than being at work! Hopefully I will get a chance to fish here again, or perhaps the nearby marshes in my kayak before I have to move for the new job.
