Saw a hen and a couple poults off old hwy 64 in edgecombe a couple weeks ago, as well as a bachelor party of two toms and a jake off hwy 64 in franklin...

I finally got an entry for my survey form - 6 gobblers. I was really hoping to see some poults, but knowing that 6 gobblers survived the hunting season at a place you can hunt next spring, tends to warm the soul...

I hope all you folks seeing all these poults are keeping a survey card. It will sure tell the commission where birds are doing well and where there aren't any, like up here. So far I have logged 2 gobblers and one hen. No poults.
