I do what I can lol

Should be beat a dead horse for the fun of it?

Throw out a 45Colt vs 44mag real world difference out there?

44mag would consolidate reloading components.... 45LC would be....cool? Lol

45LCs can be loaded right up to 44 mag levels I don't think is a compromise. I have a 45lc Ruger and Dies so I'm good with hand loading for power and accuracy in both.
I have a Winchester 94 Ranger in 30-30 I'd trade out for the 45lc in my collection. Would be just as good for an iron sight brush gun.

It's that or find a 30-30 pistol ... lol

in all seriousness,,,,there likely isn't a real bit of practical difference between them on game,,,,,

I have a Rossi 44mag stainless carbine. I have had zero feeding issues with three different types of ammo. The action is smooth and the safety is not too awkward. The only thing I do not like is the finish on the wood. It appears to be some sort of brazillian hardwood but the stain that they used comes off easily. When the season is over I will rub it with steel wool and 50/50 degreaser/paint thinner and rub in some linseed oil.
