Pigeon Loft Build

I think there was a thread earlier about someone asking about building a pigeon coop. I just built this one. The goal was to do it with a budget of $150.00. You can buy all the materials save the pigeon door for about $165.00. I don't have a workshop or many tools...I built this with a cordless drill and circular saw. I used a finish nailer as wll but mostly for an extra set of hands/glue/clamp.

I built the table frame on pressure treated 2x4's, built and attached the walls, and added an ondura roofing panel.

If I were to do something differently I'd have a better plan for the aviary. It's scabbed together and looks trashier than the rest of the coop. Hardware cloth is miserable stuff to work with but I found a dremel with a cutting wheel is the best tool for cutting it if you don't have an angle grunder (I don't.)

solid bottom? do you have any other ventilation besides the front area?

Solid bottom, for a few reasons, but largely because my cleanout plans involve sweeping ot into the lawn, and running it over with my bagging mower, and into the mulch pile; I didn't want the dog underneath it harassing them or eating doodoo.

There is some ventilation along the roof line but I think 8 square feet+ the trap door should be enough.
