I'm more of a measure once, cut twice person instead of the other way around.
I don't think it would be that difficult, you're basically incorporating one bench into a support leg.

If my Stepdad was able I would get him to help me make one of these . That man can build anything out of wood and all he has to do is see the item and how it works and what he needs to build it. But at nearly 86 years of age he is getting feeble and doesn't use his wood shop anymore.
