STUPID me did not update from Windows 8.1 and need to now. What is the most economic way would you recommend I can do it? I have 770 GB free / RAM is 7.87 out of 8 GB / 64 bit.

Thanks

you don't have to update - even though Windows won't provide security patches and such after next month, you could install a good anti-virus program and keep going. But I also wouldn't update other softwares, etc

if you want to update, I'd go straight to 11 (even though I am still running 10, coward that I am)

supposedly, minimum requirements for 11 are
  • CPU: 64-bit, dual-core, at least 1 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Storage: 64 GB or more
  • System Firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable
  • GPU: DirectX 12-compatible / WDDM 2.x
  • TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0

you can download the WhyNotWin11 tool and it will check your computator

if you want to go to 10

upgrade from 8.1 to 10
