And I also wonder what rationale was used to eliminate muzzleloaders.
Seems like there are probably very few who Turkey hunt with a ML to begin with.
Could have at least allowed traditional smoothbore muzzleloaders.
Traditional smoothbore muzzleloaders are cylinder bore and use no shot cups.

Just like a diet that will work. Eat less , exercise more.

Cut the number of turkeys taken and/or make the season shorter.

Fall turkey hunting is a big deal to turkey hunters in most of PA.

So closing the season is not what the Game Commission wants to do.

Season length varies by wildlife management unit.

The PGC has been reducing season length and prohibited rifles already.

The issue with your reasoning is it makes sense. They can't have that. My guess is that seasons may overlap so people aren't afraid to put a BP smackdown on a turkey.

I agree, smoothbores and the few actually designated as shotguns should've been allowed.
