Oak Island

I have a 14ft jonboat with 20hp and trolling motor. I have never been to Oak Island. Is it worth me hauling it down to fish with?

Yes . Plenty of places to fish in that set up

As long as you stay in the ICW and marshes of the Lockwood Folly, you will be fine. I'd be leery of going out the inlet though.
We used to run all over that area in a 14 or 16 foot (can't remember which) wooden flounder boat.
