Had to put the big guy down a few years ago and now the little guy hunted his last year going in the water. Might do some upland stuff still.

This was my pack before we had to put Rebel the boxer down. Dixie is the Boston terrier, and she stands by her breeds name. Ellie Mae is the young Red Tick. We got her days before we put Rebel down. He was my road dog!View attachment 66300
My oldest daughter has a Boxer who is quite the the loving & patient guardian of my 2.5 y.o. grandson. She is thinking about getting a Boston Terrier to keep him company in his old age.

Our Boston use to wear my Boxer out, but they were inseparable.

That sir is a nice looking pack of dogs. I am sure each w/ their own distinct personality. Are they all mixed breed?
Thanks buddy. Yeah from left to right:
Lady: Plott/pit
Kaleb: Bassett hound/pit
Jackson: Dachshund/beagle
Zeus: Husky/lab
And yeah they’ve all got their own whacky personalities and quirks. Zeus is almost 12 so he’s mellow. The other 3 are around 4 years old and bounce off the walls lol

All beautiful dogs, not an ugly one in the bunch. I made a stupid statement recently in the presence of my wife... Quote: "I could live on a deserted island all my life w/ nothing but me & dogs & be perfectly content".

My dog Shadow showed up in our driveway as a stray in June of 2012, loaded with ticks, mange & malnourished. Usually we turn stray dogs over to the local shelter or find them a good home, but this dog was so well-behaved that I lobbied the wife from day one that this was a dog I wanted to keep. He's nine years old now, and completely "rules the roost." We trained him to track wounded deer and have had some success doing it, but mostly he's just my buddy.

I often tell him that in the dog world, he's won life's lottery; no dog dumped as a stray has ever had a better outcome than he has.

Three pictures to show what he looked like the day he found us, one when he was 2 years old, and one taken last year.

Millie. Our Great Dane puppy. Brought her home at 9 lbs. Now at 4 months she just hit 50 lbs. Still a long ways to go with this one.
