New to NC and this forum

I’m eager to reach the point where I understand the relevance of my answers, and the light they paint me in. 😂
Lol it’s that kinda tenacity that will have you fitting in around here in no time at all. I’m not speaking from experience though. I’m like Lennie Small from Of Mice and Men. I keep asking em when they’re gonna let me tend some rabbits and they’re just counting down the days till I grope some dudes wife and have to be put down

Welcome. Good group of guys on here. You’ll learn a few things from some guys here and get some good laughs in. I’ve never been to one of the get together but I’d recommend going to one since you’re close. Always looks like those guys in the west have a good time. They might not kill much but they sure eat good 🤣

Nice write up...
Welcome to the forum. Looks like you'll fit right in around here.
We do have quite a few get togethers every year in the western end of the state.
With the change in this years regs we may not have our annual muzzleloader hunt in the same way as before (not a lot of deer anyways 🤷🏼‍♂️), but we do get together every spring after turkey season and we absolutely slay the trout...and yes, we know how to have a good time and eat !! You're welcome around the fire if you get the chance.

I will definitely participate in these! Thank you

Turning back straps into sliced jerky is perfectly acceptable....

Especially when some of you get my fat to mix with your bland venison 😜

Say you went off-roading in some remote mountain holler, your tires start slipping and you find yourself parked at the base of an incline back down a path near the creek. Would you rather have a wench or a winch in the truck with you?

I don’t eat much corn, but when I do it’s grilled in the husk, and gnawed off the cob.

No worries, you are already over the hump.
Even if you don't fit in properly the members of this forum will tolerate your input as long as you can handle the friction. If you have spent any time reading some threads on muzzle blast you know what I'm talking about

I have both. But a winch in this case.

The food questions remind me of the scene from Talladega Nights in the bar when the bartender says they keep Seal and Pet Shop Boys on the jukebox for profiling purposes.

Still, it seems likely that a few of you take your food seriously. I do as well.

This is a popular venison prep of mine. Southwest Chili Rubbed Venison Tenderloin on Chipotle Smashed Potatoes with Lime Crema and Lemon Compound Butter.

(No corn, bacon, or bbq in this one, unfortunately)
