I am currently in process of looking for a new place in Wisconsin....I've seen some of these things, I should start taking photos. The one that got me this week was a poured concrete basement but someone wanted the vinyl faux wood down there so they just laid some ply board down on the uneven concrete and went ahead and rolled out the vinyl. It felt like I was walking across a Scottish bog. Who thinks of this crap? And if you were wondering, yes the basement had some water in it in the past and yes it flooded, and no they hadn't pulled that flooring after the flood.
We looked at an old home 1930's build and were discussing adding a bathroom upstairs but looking at the plumbing the realtor and I thought to check the water pressure first, in the current bathroom....yikes. It'd take a month to fill the tub. You could get a better rinse from a closer-talker than that shower could ever give ya.
Real conversation:
Me: Do you think there was a large tree in this backyard that landed on the roof to make the roof sag like that.
Realtor: Hmmm....yah kinda looks like it huh!
Me: (Looking down at the privacy fence next to the home.) That's probably what smashed up that gate there huh?
Realtor: Yah, but I don't see any huge stump in this back yard.
Me: (Pointing at the newly placed play house / jungle gym.) You reckon that kid's fort is covering up some evidence?
Realtor: Seems like a lot of woodchips huh?
