Never gets old...although I do

Nothing to brag about horn wise BUT after 30 years it (deer hunting) never gets old!

I have a few acres in between some houses to hit close to home (Rowan County NC spot) and it’s just an occasional meat spot.. very few deer.

Anyway, went there this eve for 1st time since mid Sept.. 5 pointer come flying in cruising for does.. made a marginal shot, backed out for 3 hours and finally at 9:30 stumbled on him and stuck him again!

Late night as it took for ever to get him out.. HE WAS IN RUT.. BLACK HOCKS

No, it never gets old. The sound of the release and the thump that follows. The anticipation of sitting there in the tree giving it some time before you get on the blood trail.
