My only gripe so far is still having to have the paper duck stamp. Wish the E stamp was valid all season not 45 days.
I *think* the logic employed with that concept is that the estamp covers you until you receive the actual stamp in the mail. It's dumb, I agree, but that has to be what they're trying to accomplish, right?

Yes, the state has no say they’re just following the feds rules.

I got ya. I am still not clear on how it works picking multiple permit choices on same date . I thought that’s what you meant. Life gets you that’s for sure!
Yep, I really wish they would explain how the selections are made. WRC does not generally issue multiple permits for the same date, so I make my selections for the places I really like, then I have to avoid those dates for the second tier spots as I want to avoid a selection for a second tier hunt that keeps me from getting a preferred location.

Are selections made by hunt number, location, by hunter, by date or what. I've asked a few times and they will only say it is "random". Unhelpful. WRC needs to be transparent.

Fed gubment waste at its finest, only to be followed by State level waste...i.e. should be that Game Warden checks you for either the self-printed good-for-full-year estamp or else the traditional stamp. The Fed Gov bureaucrats wasting processing/Postage to mail the traditional stamp after the estamp is already available is just another example of unnecessary taxpayer burden and protection of cushy gov't jobs. To allow for nostalgic waterfowlers who collect the pretty stamps there should be a Checkbox override in the Order System to get a stamp mailed. I would guess 99percent of stamps get trashed after the season ends. Just go electronic like most States have done for hunting and fishing licenses.

Has anyone figured out the real time harvest reporting info?
All I can get is one page of counties and zero comparisons to past year harvests.
But I have only tried it on my phone maybe it works like a dream on other devices. Idk

If you really want to waste an afternoon, try getting a "license-exempt" landowner bear tag. Same :poop:show every year. Gotta keep asking for a supervisor, until someone can figure out how to "override the system." Crazy thing is, the person on the phone can see where you got them in the past, but can't figure out how you did it. A few times, I've been told, "those were issued in error." Sometimes I think it would be easier just to pay the $11

FYI a bill has passed the house & senate to make it a full year E-duck stamp for next season. Reading the text, it appears they’ll mail the stamps still but the Elicense will be valid all season, not just the 45 days.

Edit - I have no clue when this would actually go into effect, next season or this one? The President hasn’t signed it yet but it’s expected once they juice him up

When to an agent to renew and paid them $4.00 to avoid the hassle. When I got home noticed there is no reference on printout to having a senior Sportsman license. Under "Current NCWRC Licenses" it just shows Hip Cert, Big Game report card, and Bear E-Stamp. Missing is the Unified Age 65 Sportsman/CRFL that should be there.

So I've got my duck stamps for evey year back to the early 70s. Paper still an option?

I’ve had only 2 required interactions with the system and both have indicated issues - like the same folks that built the Obamacare website were the ones responsible for this one.

Got bounced back and forth between GoOutdoors and NCWRC Customer Service a couple of times, but finally got an answer to my longstanding question about how the permit draw hunts are done.

A very knowledgeable WRC Customer Service agent provided this answer - The permit draws are randomly based on the Party Number assigned when you make a draw selection. Each hunt gets a party number, even if it is only for one person. They do not draw for a specific hunt location, instead Party Numbers are drawn for all hunt locations until all hunts are filled up.

I had assumed that the hunt location was a factor, but this is not the case. I think this helps me understand why I have such a miserable success rate for my preferred locations. I have applied for multiple locations with the same dates, and if I get drawn for a less popular hunt then I'm excluded from consideration for my preferred choices. I've limited my chances by applying for too many conflicting hunts. Now I'm going to try submitting applications for fewer but more desired spots or select dates that do not conflict with my preferred choices.

Hope this is useful.

Well I only apply for a couple a year and for the most part it hasn’t helped me at all, so not sure if the less is more theory will really help. Hope it works out in your favor

Pia!! Sign in using biometrics and then I have to log in. What is the point of having the biometric option if it doesn't work? SMDH.
