After reading the regs on the 'puter, it apparently only is valid for urban archery zones. Bummer for the childrens.

For those with exempt licenses or kids, I called and got them to issue the big game harvest report card and hip over the phone. They confirmed there is no way to do it through the app. They did not charge a transaction fee.

I got my 2 boys report card and hip certification last night no issues. It shows in their license now, as well I have email confirmation.

I just renewed my boat registration. They give you every chance to spend extra money on this and that!
Just did mine beginning of august. I got the hard copy because I wasn’t sure if they still sent the paper registration with the stickers. Cost me a little over $100 for 3 years and a hard copy that I realize now I didn’t need. Now it’s time to renew my license. Guess I’ll find out now how much it’s going to cost me to get all my licenses. I remember when I turned 16 I could hunt and fish anything anywhere in NC for $40 license and a $15 duck stamp

My only gripe so far is still having to have the paper duck stamp. Wish the E stamp was valid all season not 45 days.

The only issue I've had was two copies of my license and HIP certification showing up on the screen. It was only a temporary issue. It's back to showing only one.

Did anyone else have to donate money to one of the youth programs during checkout cause a banner at the bottom prevented you from choosing cancel?

I remember when maxed out trucks in 1990 only cost $18,000,,,

A sportsman’s license with saltwater fishing is $69 today and fed waterfowl is 25,,,, still a good deal

When I went to checkout I thought I’d have to donate in order to checkout but it let me scroll down a little further and a button appeared to not donate.

Heads up if using the Go Outdoors app. Got checked in the dove field yesterday- imagine my shock when our permits (GL permit hunt) had DISAPPEARED from our license list. Everything else was there, but they had flat disappeared for our entire group. Luckily the GW stated it was a known issue and I had the confirmation email, but you may want a paper copy or screenshots.

Just an FYI- there is a “CHANCE” there will not be any leftover permit hunts for the 2024 season..

Anybody know how to look up swan preference points in GoOutdoors? I think I saw it somewhere in the app a while back but can't find it now.

GoOutdoors folks have been helpful.
I submitted my permit requests last night, and today wife booked a girls trip so I get to handle the grandkids. GO managed to cancel my requests with conflicting dates, very nice about it.

What’s with conflicting dates?

Purely on my side. I applied for hunts of a couple of dates, then wife arranged for me to be on grandkid duty on those same dates. Means those permits would go to waste if drawn, so I asked GO that those dates be cancelled and they seemed happy to help.

I got ya. I am still not clear on how it works picking multiple permit choices on same date . I thought that’s what you meant. Life gets you that’s for sure!

Alvin did not appear to recognize 2-day permit hunts. A few times I was drawn for a 2-day hunt (for example, a Fri/Sat permit) and would also get an additional permit for that same Sat. Hard to be in two places at once, and it is annoying to get a couple of permits a season - then have them be on the same day.

Don't know how GoOutdoors handles this but it appears to separate what used to be 2-day permits into two separate draws. Kinda hate it because a 2-day permit made the 8-10 hours in the car more worthwhile.

I have never managed to get a straight answer (from either Alvin or GO) to my questions about what sequence or order the draw selctions are made. If anybody knows, please share wtih me.
