I burn some of my trash, since I live in the country and don't care what the global warming alarmist think. In the past I used metal burn barrels, which were 55 gallon oil drums, but that presented lots of problems. Finding them was never easy, and they can be expensive. I could aeriate them with a .30-06, but that only produced small holes. They rust out, burn out, are hard to empty the ashes from, and then you have to get rid of them at the end of their short life.
So about 10 years ago I moved on to this creation, which is made from 14 cinder blocks. It never rusts out or burns out, is easy to remove the ashes from, and the trash burns completely because air flows freely from every direction. A great improvement to my country living!
