Moisture Issue 1858 Sheriff BP revolver

Ten Pointer
So I found an issue with my Revolver this past weekend.
About 2 months ago, i received my revolver, I shot about 6 cylinder down range, and was pretty impressed.
Cleaned gun, dried and reloaded the cylinder, to include caps. The gun was loaded for over a month.
Well this weekend i went to fire my gun. Every chamber in the cylinder misfired.
2 of the chambers fired just enough for the ball to partially come out so the cylinder would not rotate.
I don't know if it matters but I was using the 30gr pellets. Would loose powder be better?
I haven't tried it yet but do those rain sleeves for the cap and nipple work to keep out moister?

Any of the dextrose based propellants will absorb water like a sponge. Best to leave it clean, dry and lightly oiled until ready to shoot it again.
