mid day bass excursion

while working/running/training my dog we passed along the dam of the lake,,,looked down and saw 14/11 bass of all sizes in the shallows,,,,,,

so after putting her up I got a pole, rigged a small floating rapala and went back down there,,,,,

caught a few in just 10 minutes,,,no monsters,,,and one was the skinnest 14" bass I ever saw,,,poor fellows head was twice as big around as his gut,,,,need some baitfish!

Use to see a lot of them hanging under the willow trees along the river, just chillin..... They didn't want a big bait, but toss a Roostertail or Mepps spinner and game on.
