Marlin 336 WWG happy trigger problems

Ive installed several happy triggers into marlins ive owned in the past without problems, always ended up with a smooth trigger with about 4-5lbs of pull. This JM 336 in 35 is giving me a fit, installed it like i always have and it went in with no problems, trigger pull has zero creep and is about 6-8oz of pressure to set it off. Sear is engaging the hammer properly. Its clean and unoiled on the sear. Im pulling it out and putting the factory trigger back in for now. I dont know if it matters but the trigger is a stainless steel one and the hammer isnt. Ive crossed them up in the past with zero issues. Has anybody else had this problem? Cant find anything similar on google

How much sear engagement do you have?

Can you elaborate a little further? Im a mechanic by trade what i know about gunsmithing is limited

Its hard to see there, my phone isnt wanting to do detailed photos right now but i think i got a bad trigger. The happy trigger has a much more blunt sear than the factory one. Probly gonna send it back. For $100 ya figure youd get something decent

I'd ask the maker before sending it back.
