Stayed up to watch the lunar eclipse last night, and managed to stay out in the cold long enough to snap a few photos. Wind blowing didn't help with keeping the camera lens steady, and pushing the ISO up as the eclipse progressed didn't help, either. Fun to watch, though.
Nikon D800, Nikkor 300mm F4 PF ED lens, with a 1.4x teleconverter.
I was using a tripod and cable release for the first two shots, but with the moon being so high in the sky I had to take the camera off tripod and handhold for the last several shots, which accounts for the final photo being a little blurred.
