Lower back trouble

I used One off and on for about a year now it helped me a lot with a bulging disc. I however completely ruined my back on the morning of October 22 putting on my socks for work of all things. As I had my leg up on the bed I had the worst pain I could ever imagine shoot from my back to my toes on my left leg. I knew I hurt myself bad but told myself get up go walk it off. I made it half way to work and pulled over to puke my guts out for 5 mins til I could get back in and go home. Wife got me an appointment to back specialist in Cary that day. He scheduled an MRI for opening day of black powder of all days but I’m hurting bad and my leg is numb from the knee down. Outcome was a massive rupture of L4 disc I had surgery last Monday and actually get my staples out tomorrow morning. Don’t play around with your back. I tried the get me by route and although that isn’t “THE REASON” mine turned out like this I feel like it contributed. Good luck

Mine started out much the same… Used the inversion table on and off, went to the chiropractor off and on and it all seem to help until it didn’t. My son wrecked his bike and I went to pick it up and my back was gone, ruptured my disc between L3 and L4. Had surgery in Statesville which was supposed to put me out of work a couple of weeks. I was out of work a few months after the dr cut my spinal column. He told me he did it after I woke up but that he sewed it back together and I should be fine. He was wrong! I took a ride in an ambulance 5-day latter after the meds he put in wore off and spent several months going to a pain clinic. By far the worse pain I have ever had, and I have broken several bones, had severe cuts but nothing comes close to exposed nerves in your back. I am doing great now and can’t say enough good things about Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine and the doctors they have there.

So my wife had her first PT session today. As he was doing the assessment he asked if one leg has always been longer than the other. My wife now confused said no and he then measured again and her right leg was roughly a quarter inch longer than her left. Her primary care dr suspected sacroiliac problems and was waiting to inject her after the PT assessment.

So the PT called in a female colleague who then inspected my wife's hips and pelvis more extensively and said her pelvis was out of alignment. So after 5 weeks of bad pain in her lower right back especially while sitting the PT got her pelvis in alignment legs measured normal length again and she said the pain is 100% gone tonight. Seems pretty bizarre!

Hope your back problem resolves as easily banjo!

After going through a few different tests and xrays, they have diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease and arthritis. I sit at a desk 95% of the time. They told me to get up and walk around several times a day and to lose my gut. If I do not see improvements in a few weeks, then they will refer me to a physical therapist.

Banjo did your back pain start from anything in particular or just progressively get worse over the years?

Well, I have always had minor back issues. But it has been getting progressively worse over that last couple of years.
