Was doing a workday this morning - a hard core turkey / trad archery fellow and I went into a section of club that had been “not touched” since 2017 for turkeys

We gad to cut trees that had fell across the road - 3 hrs of work but got it done

Saw 30+ turkeys from gobblers to second hatch poults (second hatch because they were significantly smaller than the other poults)

Now if the Big Guy Upstairs cuts us a break on flood waters next year!

Bad news? They logged a pretty hardwood bottom - a big bottom - haven't fully checked but likely 500+ acres

Keep on hearing one good report after another. Its music to my ears. Looks like NC decline will have to wait we are in the hay days of hunting for eastern part of state at least. Breaking records or nearly breaking. I still stand that 2021 will be highest ever and wouldn't surprise me if put up a number never to be broken if get back to back prime hatches
