First time I drove in Texas, got off the interstate onto a two lane road with houses all along the side and kids playing in the front yards. Around here the speed limit on that road would be 45, there it was 70.
They must teach their kids to not play in the road. In NC, you can't even keep the adults from doing so. Hell, they get killed on the interstates and freeways around Charlotte on a regular basis...
I know of at least a couple towns in Tx where it’s a 55 mph city wide speed limit, down Main St no less.
