Got a late start today, rigged a fair track at about 8:30 got everybody in position my little deaf buddy and his wife were hunting with us today he took a really nice bear last year an he really wanted is wife to get one this year, I put them at what we call the washout stand and told them to stay put no matter what happened because if he didn't tree he would be crossing here ( wishful thinking on my part but it is a good crossing) . I cast the hounds and it wasn't long they had him going he was a little bit of a runner after about a 2 1/2 hour chase he made a break toward the washout stand wasn't long I heard a shot I had already made a break that way myself, she called and said the bear was down when I got around there guys already had the hounds caught up, she had made an outstanding shot on a running bear dropped him right on the road she said in came out no more than 2ft from were I said he would.Got back to the camp weighed him a nice 400lb boar. All in all an outstanding day.
