I've been on jack carrs "terminal list" series. Former navy seal turned author, government conspiracy, cia operatives etc.

That's not including the Good Book.

Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers...Brian Kilmeade...First time reading, excellent book..

Savage Kingdom by Benjamin Wooley, for about the 3rd time...

Foxfire 5...For about the 10th time...

The Frontiersmen by Allan Eckert for about the 4th time...He also wrote That Dark and Bloody River, about the Ohio river during the late 1700s...

First Blood by David Morrell (the book is a bit different than the movie...while the movie had a sequel, the book didn't)
The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer (arguably the very best first hand account of the German soldier in Russia, especially during the long retreat)

The Slow Regard of Silent Things

Really recommend Name of the Wind and A Wise Mans Fear if you are into fantasy. Great books.
Only downside is he may never finish the 3rd book

2. The Hussite Wars by Stephen Turnbull
3. The Hussite Wars: The History and Legacy of the Conflicts Between the Catholics and Protestants in Central Europe by Charles River
4. With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene Sledge

Before that....I read a few of the Jack Reacher books by Jim Grant (aka Lee Child)

Erik Testerman is a NC Author and these books are a good read. Set in the late 1800's.​
