[Part-time hunter]

I have my 8 year old grandson Finn with me for a couple of weeks. When he was here back in the summer I took him for his first time fishing on the pier. He was the first one to catch anything and although it was a pinfish you would have thought he had a whale based on the the smile on his face. So we're going in the morning because there is now another one hooked on fishing. I'm hoping something else will bite like maybe the puffers will be there. But either way, it'll be good to get some salt water on our hands and to watch another sunrise on the water.

Cap'n Frank told me today the water at Mercer's Pier was 81 and it was 82 at Frying Pan so they may be here a little while.

I'll be down at Oak Island in 3 weeks. Doubt they'll hang around that long as I can't recall them ever still hanging around in late October.
