Is a VA fishing license needed for the Confluence area of Kerr Lake?

I have a NC FL and just wondering, I know it is good for Kerr lake but is it still good for the confluence area of the lake? Plan to be up in that area fishing where Dan and Roanoke hit Kerr lake.
