Industrial sewing machine ?

What do you guys know about sewing machines? I have some projects in mind that involve canvas and outdoor type materials.
One of my customers has a few singer 591 available and one pfaff 138.
The pfaff seems a little nicer, zig zag stitch, and 220v. The manager talked me into the singer due to the power supply, parts, and material capabilities of the Pfaff. I don’t know much about these machines to know any better.
Side note I may be able to get you one if interested.

Either one will be cheap like under 200 which is why I’m interested. The singer is in the truck but I could pick up the pfaff too and sell one.

My dad was in the upholstery business. He used Pfaff exclusively.

My wife sews and she uses Singer.

Note the difference!

I understand that but also that singer has an entire consumer grade line. Both of these machines were used in an industrial setting for years. I’m not concerned about quality but rather which one will be better for the job. I don’t currently sew so this is a new venture.

I have 4 sewing machines, as I do leatherwork. Either of the machines you mentioned will work OK for you.
