Immediate Coyote question

I just popped a coyote and he has died right there where the deer usually pop out and I’m set up for.

Is my day over? Will a deer ignore a dead coyote in their path or avoid it?

I finished the day in the tree, saw nothing else but I dragged that varmint 50 yards away. Maybe is brothers will tear into him tonight

I killed one a few years ago about 4pm that I considered moving immediately but figured if it did mess up that lane, I still had 3 other lanes to watch so let it lay. Within 15 minutes buzzards moved in and had it completely gone before dark.
I guess our local buzzards aren't as picky as others. Or just more hungry...

it is truly amazing how quickly buzzards will find a dead aminal.

doesnt he ppl p around here that they now associate the orange tractor with a meal. crank it up and they immediately start circling it hoping there's a dead groundhog in the bucket.

Yep. The sound of a bushog brings em in almost instantly looking for any rats that die...

I shot a deer and in 10 minutes a buzzard was sitting on top of it. Had to get out of the stand to protect my deer

Seen the same thing, nothing eats a dead yote. There was one killed in one of our cutovers and left one the open, just rotted. Took a while too with cooler temps

I throw the dead ones on dens. Don't know if the psyops works but there's a reduction in sightings.

Yotes and vultures are the only animals I know of that don't get eaten.
I hang them over limbs at fence breaks and travel lanes.

After my own little version of the coyote crusades, I haven't seen any this year, and only one last year.

Prepared properly, yote ain't bad. 😁 I saw 3 yotes trot about 30 yards from a doe eating acorns 2 weeks ago. Neither paid the other any attention.

Nothing would touch my coyote. It lied untouched for several weeks in the woods.

guess if they get hungry enough, vultures will surely eat a coyote,, at least our poor arse vultures here in Scotland County,,,

there were three feasting on this dead yote,,,,,,,

I got a feeling most buzzards have no trouble eating coyote being they will eat possums too. But I have tried baiting coyotes with possums and they won't touch them

I've had coyotes dig opossums up that I had buried,,, I assume they then ate them as there were no remains around
