These cold wet rains has had made a toll on the polts.. I got my survey card in the mail. Hopefully see some little guys soon!

2021 is gonna be an awful year for Wild Turkey if those "ravenous Turkey Poult- Eating Bobwhite Quail" don't quit reproducing so fast!:panic:;)

Several hens on camera but no poults for the past month. Lots of jakes though.

Saw 2 hens with 3 poults down near the coast. They were nearly the same size. Did a few drive byes to confirm. Good luck telling them apart in August especially from a distance. If we truly had an early hatch, knowing a poult from a hen in late August is a crap shoot unless you have some time and binoculars.

seen a bearded hen with 8 chicken sized poults,,,gonna be interesting to see how many end up bearded

I have only seen a couple of hens a couple of times since season ended around home. Zero poults. None on trail cams either. No mowing casualties this year but a very early hatch based on when the hens stopped showing up during the day. Cold wet week to 10 days when they should have been hatching. Does not look promising here.
