I’ve had two valve replacement surgeries. Both involved the aortic. First in 99 second in 2014. It’s no fun but it beats the alternative. Plan for a 4-7 week “vacation”. start walking As quickly as possible. Take laps in the hospital and then your neighborhood or dirt road when you get home. Sleep in a lazy boy recliner the first few weeks when you get home. From experience. Let me know if you have any questions. .

And if your fat like you suggested a great side effect is you can lose a lot of weight during your vacation. I wasn’t overweight but lost plenty as a side effect.
Suggested? Dropped 100 lbs to have surgery. Still plenty to lose.

Great news
Doing really good. All tubes and catheters out. Every one is very impressed with my progress. Pain has been well controlled. Thanks for all the prayers.
