Used to run into this all the time, when hunting in Ga this time of year. You had to be careful how you pulled your buck, especially if you had already punched the "antlered" part of your tag. But on the plus side, you could always kick a set off, if you only had doe tags left
Was he alone when you shot him? Just curious because on one of the places I hunt almost always a deer alone was a buck.
Ive hunted there for a long time and can count on one hand how many does I have seen alone.
He was and that thought crossed my mind. This time of year the does around me stick together pretty close. It was getting late so I was hoping he wasn’t actually alone and more were behind. Working on filling the freezer so I’m happy either way.
