Hard of hearing?

I hear grouse just fine.

I’ve heard several drumming but I remember one late morning successful hunt when I called in a gobbler that was probably 25 yds from me but out of sight. The only way I knew he was there was his drumming before he finally showed his noggin.

My hearing is so bad I can turn my head one way and hear him Gobble but if I turn it the other I can't, never heard a bird drumming, my muffs are a life saver or hunt saver for me.

Fond that interesting reckon its 2 different waves. I can hear both so I just wondered about that
