Tagged out on an afternoon bird today.
Our little spot in Eden hadn’t been hunted yesterday so I went up there to kinda scout/hunt. I’ve never seen the woods so tore up, so I sat down thinking that they’re coming here whether I call or not... I think I actually texted ZG that very thing.
So I sat around an hour or so and scratched the leaves a couple times,,, and then I heard footsteps. Big ol Tom came in just like I knew he would. 11” beard, 1.25” Spurs.
I didn’t call him up, I didn’t shoot him from the roost, I wasn’t in a blind, I simply read the sign and killed the bird. Woodsmanship.
