Grilled drum sticks

I know everyone’s got there own “go to” sauce when it comes to wings and I know everyone likes there’s different. But man oh man do I love me some grilled wings with Wells sauce. Those of you that don’t have Piggly Wigglys around might not be as fortunate enough to find this sauce, but it’s one to search out. Wings grill for an hr or so at 380-400. I used lump charcoal and a few hickory wood chunks. While cooking I continue to spray with butter until the last 30-40 mins or so. After that it’s on to the Wells sauce! I like my grilled wings to fall right off the bone. Wife added a pasta salad and regular salad as sides.

I need to do some drums on my Akorn. I love doing wings on it...let them air dry for a good 30 minutes, spray a coat of oil on them and season. Cook at 325 for an hour or so and crank it up to 500. Nice crispy wings.

I love my Akron. I use it about every other night. Last Friday I did a 15 hr smoke on a Boston butt that turned out really good!
