Great afternoon to smoke a pork shoulder!

Just got it cooking good.
In direct smoke from hickory to start then moving on to maple chips.
Used my normal rub, let it set several hours then fired up. Setting about 260 deg heat now first batch of smoke done just let it slow cook some then add some maple chips to it. Will let the heat get up to 300 to 350 then and back it back down.

Pretty sure I just went into concussion protocol from my tongue beating me in the forehead. Good work, there.

I did not post the end game of picking the shoulder but this was leftovers for dinner tonight.
Sure was good and more left!

Had a side of pan fried sweet peas, Caramelized and glazed baby carrots along with some cheese mashed tators. Along with the pulled pork of course!
