Good News on the Fur Selling Front

After the demise of NAFA, the opportunity to send fur to an auction looked pretty bleak for NC Trappers. Fur Harvesters still has auctions but we have not had an agent to ship through so the only option was to ship direct which gets expensive.

That is changing.....

I just got off the phone with Tom Tyree who many of you knew as the VA and NC agent for NAFA. With the demise of NAFA, Tom has agreed to represent Fur Harvesters and will be the FHA Pick Up Agent in the same territory he has been serving in the past.

We do not have routes and dates to publish at this time but I wanted to make you aware that you will have the option of fur pick up similar to what you have had in the past but it will now go to Fur Harvesters for their international auction.

As schedules are finalized, the NCTA will be posting the info.

Based on my discussion with Tom, it may be necessary to reschedule the NCTA Mountain Fur Sale that we had posted earlier based on the NAFA Sale schedule.

This has all come together in the last few days so bear with us and Tom as the details are put in place.

Tom is planning to run the same routes and attend sales as he has in the past.
