Amazing how a hunt can go from crap to good. Last time I had these two dogs out I wanted to shoot them and myself. Mainly because I did something stupid that caused them to ruin the whole night. Tonight I corrected that and we had a good one. Everything went like clockwork. They smoked this one a little over 700 yds and put him up. I could tell Bat was a little reluctant about treeing with Rampage when I got there but he was doing it albeit a little halfhearted. I petted him up and leashed him up and he went to roaring. Knocked the coon out and no fussing at all. Rampage carried it all the way back to the 4 wheeler and I even forgot about him having it when I was loading up and I looked over and Bat was smelling it with Rampage still holding it with no fussing. I got them separated quick so as not to temp fate but it was a good night.
