Post your group!

Just got into reloading and shot this group today with the first load. Better lucky than good.

Still working on my 6.5 Creedmoor and my loads (really the loose nut behind the trigger is what needs the most work)
Shot this yesterday afternoon, cleaned, shot 3 foulers, the this group @100 yards. 1st was high, 2nd low left, then I settled down and the next 3 were on top of each other.
Gun has potential for sure, still don't know about the shooter... 😋

Is that the 5R? What’s your load right now?

Yes sir. Still messing with 41 gn of H4350 under a 140gn Sierra MatchKing, in full length sized Hornady brass with a CCI 200 primer.
I've never been much good at shooting groups, so I'm trying to learn to be more steady and consistent.
This seems to be a good load that the rifle likes.

That’s odd. My buddy has the same rifle and he’s at 2.850. You sure that’s as far as you can load them?

Yeah, It's definitely shorter than most. I had some factory Federal Non-Typical 140sp that jammed into the lands. The 140 Hornady AG didnt have any issues though.
As long as it shoots well I don't really care, as it will be shooting handloads only anyway. Otherwise I'll either send it back or haved it reamed.
The current OAL is from trial and error seating and bumping it a few thousands until it chambered cleanly.
Once we get into our new place I'm going to make a comparator and get a good measurement to see what I've got.

Gotcha. That is a mighty short throat.

Shot today with my Savage Model 11 lefty .260Rem @ 100 yards. Hand loads a friend put together for his Ruger .260Rem using the Nosler Accubond 130gr. The round not touching was a half grain difference in powder. Not bad for a 90% stock rifle with a Bushnell Elite 3-9x40.
