Good day at the gun club

Deerjager

Old Mossy Horns
@UncleFester, @NCbowjunkie and I were joined by Darayl’s son today at my gun club. We met @ 9:30 & left @ 2:30. It was a beautiful day, with some wind, for slinging some lead.

We all had a great time and got the rifles dialed in, except Dan’s uncle’s rifle that was ailing from stripped ring screws. My new to me, problem rifle was finally on paper and after a few adjustments, Dan & we’re shooting some excellent groups with factory & hand loads. It is a shooter!

The deer in Kentucky better watch out for Dan with his rifles. Darayl & his son worked on some coyote rifles with excellent groups. Gods lead slinging therapy with some really good friends.

Looks and sounds like a fun day. Me thinks I need to take a lead slinging therapy day with my 6.5 Grendel. It's only been out for it's maiden voyage shakedown and been in the safe since with all my other lonely guns.

What's that new Tikka @UncleFester ?
It's a .308 T3x Lite Compact, topped with a Bushnell Prime 4-12X40 SFP scope, was going for a budget rig and caught it on a huge sale on EuroOptic. Without Bore sighting it was completely dialed in with five shots then added another for good measure. That's including starting at the 50 yard target then moving to the 100yd. I'm a fan of the Sako's, this is my first Tikka(baby Sako).

I'll still maintain the Sako S20 is the best bang for your buck out there. I just waste a round of ammo every year with the 6.5PRC verifying zero, it's like shooting a target with a laser pointer every single time.

Was a good day. I needed it bad.

That sounds like my tikka 300.

One shot and put it in the case.

Glad you like it. Euro has had some screaming deals lately.

That’s where I got my superlite

If you lived closer, I would say come with us. Guest fee is only $10.

Looks like some familiar faces in those photos. Glad you'll have a good, long session of fun and relived stress. I love my Sakos and Tikkas too Dan. Best bang for your bucks.
