Good article on turkey nesting

I'm sure some of you have already read this. I came across it in some of my saved stuff and reread it. For many who think the Wildlife folks don't do much here is some information on a 3 yr. program they are still in the midst of aimed at gaining more information about turkey nesting and success. It is well worth a read. Maybe some of the folks at the Wild Game Dinner may be involved, if we ever get back to that.

I had the good fortune to talk with the owner of that farm today. He joined us for a Memorial day at Church lunch.
They have found three successful nests on the farm already this year. He showed me pics of the nests that the researchers had made.
I believe he said one hatched two weeks ago. A;ll were big broods.
On this farm they stay on site this time of year tracking the nesting success. He said this was the last year on their farm for the study.

Thanks for posting @lasttombstone - I was getting ready to start a thread about the work and what I thought was some early nest hatchings.
Your info tells the story much better than I could.
