Really hope all is well be praying for y'allAll kidding aside I really want to go, but I'm not going to be able to make it. Not ready to talk about it yet, but can't leave my wife alone right now due to health issues.
Can you explain to me where your parking? I'm kinda familiar with area but not exactly sure where y'all campingI’m planning on being at roaring creek Thursday evening and parking at same field as last year ( the fat boys parking lot ) and hunting the same hillside. My plan is too hunt Friday-Saturday evening maybe Sunday. Looks like weather is going to be good. Chris I have you a hawk screamer also
That is likely best wknd if every one agrees its only one where you can hunt Thursday thru SundayIf the M/L isn't the 8th, 9th of Oct, I can't make it. That's the only weekend I'm off in Oct.
So, I vote that weekend.
How does 8th wknd sound its only one where can hunt all wknd due to western opens on Mon closes on a Saturday plus its before bear and easy deer opensLet me know
Do you have ON X with I phone if so I will try to drop you a pinCan you explain to me where your parking? I'm kinda familiar with area but not exactly sure where y'all camping
I just need to be pointed to a trout streamHow does 8th wknd sound its only one where can hunt all wknd due to western opens on Mon closes on a Saturday plus its before bear and easy deer opens
I'm not to good at trout fishing but I'll bring plenty of seafood.Im ok with the weekend of the 8th
@Woods and water I'll put you all over some trouts
I don’t think it has to do with your ability to fish. Just seems like you tend to have time to come west and fish when the water temps are really warm. Hopefully it’ll be a cool weekend and the morning and evening fishing will be more active.I'm not to good at trout fishing but I'll bring plenty of seafood.
Excuses excuses...Archery camp on Roaring Creek/ Yellow Mountain Gap Trailhead.
Who's all camping Friday night?
I will be coming up 0-dark early Saturday morning. Would like to link up with you folks before we scatter to the 4 winds.
I have an area im thinking of hunting that morning, from map scouting, but dont want to step on anyones toes.
I would bring coffee and donuts, but nothing will be open.

I agree I think if we could talk him into the mtns in May would be whole diff experienceI don’t think it has to do with your ability to fish. Man that sucks. This one got cut a little short tonite. Got to see the @TobyScreams family again and got to meet @valetroutfisherman but the meth heads won out.
Roaring Creek never has been a safe place to be and it lived up to its rep tonite.
Me and Turkeyfoot grilled up a dang fine meal and waited for the other to come back to camp...when the sun started setting that place came unglued...and i'll
leave it at that.
Yeah this is definitely the weather for shenanigans to happen. I do have a ML area proposal if yall want another venueWell that stinks. Never noticed any ruffians up there but I normally hunt there when it’s cooooooold.
You thinkin somewhere closer to J Ridge?I do have a ML area proposal if yall want another venue
@SnowMaker r you talking about the Dobson knob rd areaI was thinking an offshoot of the Linville gorge. Where over mtn trail goes through. 5 fields spread out. A long powerline cut. Timber, a bit of everything. But it's not Linville gorge proper so not so darn steep. Killed one of my 2020 bucks out there. @YanceyGreenhorn
